The A9 south links Inverness with Edinburgh, Scotland's capital, and the largest city, Glasgow, on the way passing past Stirling.
It continues north across the Kessock Bridge to the Northern Highlands of Scotland. To the east, the A96 links Inverness to the seaside holiday resort of Nairn and on to Aberdeen.
To the south-west, the A82 winds along beautiful Loch Ness to Fort Augustus and on to Fort William, and linking with the route to the romantic Isle of Skye. |
